Fireboy and Watergirl 6: Fairy Tales is the sixth chapter of the popular adventure game series. Guide the elemental heroes through a new temple. This time, they have some unexpected helpers: tiny glowing fairies that can assist the heroes in operating the secret mechanisms of the ancient building.

How do you play Fireboy and Watergirl 6: Fairy Tales?

In this platform game, you must guide the two heroes through a temple inhabited by tiny fairies. The two characters will have to work together to get past all of the obstacles and make it to the exit. There are two exits: one for Fireboy and one for Watergirl. The colors and symbols show which character must reach which door.

To complete the levels, both characters must make it to the exit. If one character dies, so will the other. You can play this game alone and control both characters, but you can also share the keyboard with a friend and enjoy the game as a local 2-player title.

Fire and water don’t mix, so make sure each hero sticks to their own element. Fireboy can walk through the pools of lava, but he will die if he touches the water. Watergirl can walk through the water, but she is vulnerable to fire and lava. Neither character can touch the green goo - it’s toxic!

To complete each level, Fireboy and Watergirl must collect the red, blue, and white gems scattered through each chamber of the temple. Watergirl can collect the blue ones, and Fireboy can pick up the red ones. Both characters can collect the white diamonds.

How do the Fairies work in Fireboy and Watergirl 6: Fairy Tales?

As mentioned above, the heroic duo will have some help along this journey. Y The fairies look like small dots of light. You can tap them with your mouse and drag to move them around the level.

De fairies can control the levers and use their fairy glow to power the doors and elevators. Bump them into the levers to push the switches to the right or left. If you guide the fairies to the energy devices, they can activate the temple’s ancient technology.

The energy devices are color coded, so you will often have to move around the level to find the right fairy to operate each socket. The only exception are the white fairies. Since the spectrum of white light contains all colors, these fairies can operate any energy device.

The levels with a strict time limit are the most challenging, especially when you are playing on your own and must control all characters, including the fairies. You’ll likely be able to complete within a better time by sharing the keyboard with one of your friends, so that each of you can focus on a single character. You can even appoint a third friend to take control of the mouse and move the fairies into position.

This will take some practice and good communication, of course. Try playing a couple of practice rounds to get everyone working together efficiently. It’s worth the effort if you want to hit the level objectives on each timed stage. With this series, it’s all about teamwork.
