Forest Match 2 is a match-3 game and the sequel to the popular tile-matching puzzle Forest Match. Make the icons swap places and create rows and columns of three or more of the same ones. Pop the icons to collect them and strike them off your task list to complete each level.

How do you play Forest Match 2?

This bejeweled game features things you might find in the woods, such as little mushrooms, berries, flowers and clovers. Make the items on the board swap places and line up the identical ones. Items in adjacent squares can be swapped around as long as each move yields a row or column of at least three matching pictures.

Valid combinations will pop, and new items will drop down to fill the empty slots. To the left of the board, you’ll see an orange panel. This panel will show you which items you need to collect, and how many moves you have left to achieve this task. Every item you’ve popped will be crossed off the list until you are either done or out of moves. If you run out of moves before you finish, you’ll have to start the level over.

As you play, new game elements will be introduced, such as locked and frozen tiles, or treasures to collect. Drop the items down to the bottom row to collect them, clear the dirt and moss, break away the ice, and much more!

Tips and Tricks - How do you win Forest Match 2?

Just like in the first episode, Forest Match 2 features a level map with hundreds of levels and lots of treasures to collect along the way. Here are some tips to help you along your journey:

Collect Bombs
By combining four or five identical items, you can unlock powerful bombs that will help you reach your goals faster. Lining up four matching items will yield a line bomb that can clear a full row or column. The glowing white right shows the direction in which the blast will travel.

Lining up five items will unlock a powerful color bomb that will clear all icons of the type you combine it with from the board at once.

Combine Bombs
You can also combine any two adjacent bombs by dragging them toward each other until they merge. This will make the bomb more powerful and effective. The merged bomb will then immediately explode, and all items caught in the blast will be struck from your list. How powerful the bomb will become depends on which types you combine. The first couple of tutorial levels will show which bomb-combos you can make.

Saving Moves
If possible, try to end the level without using up all of your moves. Any remaining moves will be converted into bombs as soon as you’ve completed the tasks on your list. These bombs will then all go off at once, setting off cascades and resulting in a huge score boost. The more points you score, the more likely you are to earn the three-star ranking for that level. Stars are good to collect, because they allow you to collect the treasures scattered across the level map.

Getting to the Level Map
You don’t return to the level map automatically between levels in this game. You’ll be sent to the level map if there is a treasure to collect, but you can also go to the map screen manually by selecting the gear button at the bottom of the screen and then tapping on the house.

Turning Hints On and Off
If you are inactive for a little while because you can’t find a match, the game will suggest one to you. Note that these suggestions are not always the best possible move. If you find the hints helpful, you can keep them enabled. If you find it distracting, however, you can turn the hints feature off by tapping the gear icon at the bottom of the screen and then selecting the lightbulb.
