Skydom
Skydom is a colorful match-3 game with a beautifully animated 3D level progress map. The aim is to line up three or more of the same icons to make a match. Collect colorful carrots and gem-like candy pieces to complete the level objectives. You can also call on the Alchemist to help you out.
How to play Skydom
This puzzle game starts with a very brief tutorial. The rules are simple: You can move items across the board by making two icons swap places. Line up three or more carrots or sweets of the same color to collect these items. You can make horizontal and vertical lines, but diagonal ones don’t count as a match. Valid combinations will pop and vanish from the board, and new items will drop to fill the gaps.
In each level, the objectives are listed on the left of the board. Sometimes you will have to collect certain items, clear away ice and other obstacles, or beat an (AI) opponent by completing a certain mission very quickly.
How do you create bombs and gem blasts?
If you create a combination using four or five items, you’ll receive powerful explosive gems. There are different types. Some can be used to clear a whole row or column, while others will blast away all the surrounding items, or remove all the pieces of a certain color.
To make these bombs explode, all you have to do is use them to make a match with any items of the same color. Any bombs that are left on the board once you’ve completed the level objectives will also blow up, bringing in lots of extra points.
How do you unlock the Alchemist in Skydom?
Later in the game, you can also visit the Alchemist. This wise old turtle can brew special bonus items for you that will come in useful when you run into more difficult levels. To unlock the Alchemist, you will need to collect 1000 coins.
