Solitaire Games
Solitaire, or also known as Patience, is an old card game that is very fun to play casually. In the classic version, 4 suits in a deck of cards needs to be rearranged, starting from the ace and going to the king. To do this, you need to swap cards on the board in the different playing piles, and find the aces first. You move them to the founding piles, and you can start building your suits. To play the original version of Solitaire, you should start with Solitaire Classic.
Classic Solitaire rules and strategies
In the classic version of Solitaire, you start the game with 7 piles of cards on the board, 4 foundation piles and also another pile of closed cards. On the board, the cards at the bottom are open, and the cards underneath them are all closed. You can move a red card under a black card, and a black card under a red card. But the same coloured cards cannot lay on top of each other.
The goal is to make the foundation piles. To do this, it is important to clear away all the closed cards and reveal them as soon as possible. Another rule in this game is that only kings can be at the top of one of the 7 playing piles in the middle. By clearing up piles in the middle and moving kings there, you can make long connections of cards and clear away the closed cards. Try it out for yourselves.
Different types of Solitaire games
Spider Solitaire is a fun variant. This game is easier than normal Solitaire, because you can move a card under every suit that you want. Try this if Classic Solitaire is too difficult for you!
In the Tripeaks variant of Solitaire, there will be three pyramids in front of you, and only the cards at the bottom will be opened. You need to pick up cards from the board that are one higher or one lower than the card in your hand. It does not matter which suit, only the rank counts. And if you can’t pick a card, you can deal a new card from the reserve pile. You should play Solitaire Story Tripeaks 4 for a fun Tripeaks game of Solitaire.
In the pyramid variant, there will be a pyramid in front of you. You need to pick cards that add up together with a score of 13. Check out this variant in Microsoft Solitaire Collection.
